Si les traitements actuels se concentrent sur le ralentissement de sa progression, des \u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 le potentiel des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelligentlabs.org\/product\/ultra-pure-omega-3\/\"><strong>acides gras om\u00e9ga-3<\/strong><\/a> dans la pr\u00e9vention et la prise en charge de la DMLA. Cet article examine les diff\u00e9rences entre la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire humide et la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire s\u00e8che, les effets scientifiques des om\u00e9ga-3 sur la sant\u00e9 oculaire et des conseils pratiques pour la pr\u00e9vention et la prise en charge.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u2019est-ce que la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire ?<\/h2>\n\n<p>La d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire <strong>endommage la macula,<\/strong> la partie de la r\u00e9tine responsable de la vision centrale nette. <\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eu.intelligentlabs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/can-omega-3-fish-oil-treat-macular-degeneration-03.jpg\" alt=\"macula degeneration\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>La vision centrale devient floue<\/strong>, et la reconnaissance des visages ou la lecture peuvent n\u00e9cessiter un \u00e9clairage suppl\u00e9mentaire. <strong>L&#8217;adaptation aux environnements<\/strong> peu \u00e9clair\u00e9s devient difficile, et <strong>les couleurs peuvent para\u00eetre<\/strong> moins vives. C&#8217;est pourquoi les derni\u00e8res recherches sur les om\u00e9ga-3 et la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire sont si prometteuses, comme nous le verrons plus loin. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comment les om\u00e9ga-3 aident-ils \u00e0 distinguer la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire humide de la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire s\u00e8che ? <\/h2>\n\n<p>Les acides gras om\u00e9ga-3, en particulier le DHA, sont essentiels au maintien de la sant\u00e9 oculaire. <strong>Le DHA est un composant structurel cl\u00e9<\/strong> de la r\u00e9tine, o\u00f9 il soutient la fonction des photor\u00e9cepteurs et contribue au traitement efficace des signaux lumineux. Des recherches sugg\u00e8rent que les <strong>om\u00e9ga-3 pourraient r\u00e9duire le risque de d\u00e9velopper une DMLA et ralentir sa progression.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>En fait, plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9tabli un lien entre <strong>un apport alimentaire plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 en om\u00e9ga-3 et une r\u00e9duction du risque de DMLA.<\/strong> Quatre \u00e9tudes approfondies ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les personnes <strong>consommant<\/strong> des <strong>aliments riches en om\u00e9ga-3, comme les poissons gras, \u00e9taient moins susceptibles de d\u00e9velopper une DMLA<\/strong>. <sup data-fn=\"048ca170-333f-4803-af7c-268b1612883f\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"048ca170-333f-4803-af7c-268b1612883f-link\" href=\"#048ca170-333f-4803-af7c-268b1612883f\">2<\/a><\/sup> <sup data-fn=\"d3834b2e-19e1-4320-95db-48a20ec92af1\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"d3834b2e-19e1-4320-95db-48a20ec92af1-link\" href=\"#d3834b2e-19e1-4320-95db-48a20ec92af1\">3<\/a><\/sup> <sup data-fn=\"514cd546-78ea-46a4-aa02-da90c3cb9304\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"514cd546-78ea-46a4-aa02-da90c3cb9304-link\" href=\"#514cd546-78ea-46a4-aa02-da90c3cb9304\">4<\/a><\/sup> <sup data-fn=\"abb7b705-ad43-4d3a-821d-8b93765e53c7\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"abb7b705-ad43-4d3a-821d-8b93765e53c7-link\" href=\"#abb7b705-ad43-4d3a-821d-8b93765e53c7\">5<\/a><\/sup> Une \u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que<strong> manger du poisson gras une fois par semaine<\/strong> <strong>pouvait r\u00e9duire le risque de DMLA de 50 %<\/strong> ! <sup>7<\/sup> <\/p>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelligentlabs.org\/omega-3-ultimate-supplement-guide\/\">La suppl\u00e9mentation en om\u00e9ga-3<\/a><\/strong> s&#8217;est \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e prometteuse, m\u00eame si les <strong>r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9pendent du dosage<\/strong>. Plus la dose est importante, meilleurs sont les r\u00e9sultats. <\/p>\n\n<p>Dans une \u00e9tude, les participants prenant <strong>1 gramme d\u2019om\u00e9ga-3 par jour n\u2019ont constat\u00e9 aucun b\u00e9n\u00e9fice significatif<\/strong>.<sup data-fn=\"b7771ed4-13e5-4bea-99ea-6b8ad27d8512\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"b7771ed4-13e5-4bea-99ea-6b8ad27d8512-link\" href=\"#b7771ed4-13e5-4bea-99ea-6b8ad27d8512\"> 6<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n<p>Une deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tude, <strong>utilisant une dose plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e de DHA, a constat\u00e9 une r\u00e9duction de 68 % du risque de croissance anormale des vaisseaux sanguins <\/strong>chez les participants pr\u00e9sentant des niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de DHA, bien qu&#8217;aucune am\u00e9lioration de la vision n&#8217;ait \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9e. <sup data-fn=\"2cab2f18-ac2f-469c-81ae-9ccbe416a06e\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"2cab2f18-ac2f-469c-81ae-9ccbe416a06e-link\" href=\"#2cab2f18-ac2f-469c-81ae-9ccbe416a06e\">7<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n<p>Une troisi\u00e8me \u00e9tude, utilisant <strong>5 grammes d&#8217;om\u00e9ga-3 par jour, a donn\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats remarquables<\/strong>, d\u00e9montrant que <strong>des doses \u00e9lev\u00e9es peuvent restaurer la vision chez les personnes atteintes de DMLA s\u00e8che<\/strong>. Contrairement aux traitements pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents qui ne faisaient que ralentir la progression de la maladie, cette \u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 <strong>une r\u00e9elle am\u00e9lioration de la vue<\/strong>. Les participants ont constat\u00e9 des changements significatifs en 4,5 mois, certains constatant des am\u00e9liorations en quelques jours seulement.   <sup data-fn=\"35538395-0af9-4f1d-bc16-cf38250069f3\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"35538395-0af9-4f1d-bc16-cf38250069f3-link\" href=\"#35538395-0af9-4f1d-bc16-cf38250069f3\">8<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n<p>De plus, <strong>les suppl\u00e9ments d&#8217;om\u00e9ga-3 associ\u00e9s \u00e0 un traitement anti-VEGF<\/strong> ont montr\u00e9 des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices potentiels pour les patients atteints de DMLA humide. Certains facteurs de risque augmentent le risque de d\u00e9velopper une d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire. Voici quelques exemples : <sup>1<\/sup> <sup data-fn=\"dc61df0d-052d-435a-b302-3d4d0bd3f902\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"dc61df0d-052d-435a-b302-3d4d0bd3f902-link\" href=\"#dc61df0d-052d-435a-b302-3d4d0bd3f902\">10<\/a><\/sup>  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c2ge <\/strong>\u2013 Les personnes de plus de 65 ans pr\u00e9sentent un risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Race <\/strong>\u2013 Cette maladie est plus susceptible d\u2019affecter les personnes blanches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ob\u00e9sit\u00e9<\/strong> \u2013 Bien que ce ne soit pas n\u00e9cessairement une cause en soi, le surpoids augmente le risque que la maladie progresse du stade pr\u00e9coce au stade avanc\u00e9 de la DMLA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents familiaux <\/strong>\u2013 La susceptibilit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique joue probablement un r\u00f4le ; si un membre de votre famille a souffert de cette maladie, vous pourriez \u00eatre expos\u00e9 \u00e0 un risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cardiovascular problems<\/strong> \u2013 If you\u2019ve had heart or CV issues in the past you may be at a higher risk, as these will affect the blood supply, (and therefore nutrient supply), to the eyes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">D\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire humide ou s\u00e8che : quelle est la diff\u00e9rence ?<\/h2>\n\n<p>La DMLA existe sous deux formes : humide et s\u00e8che. <strong>La DMLA s\u00e8che est la plus fr\u00e9quente<\/strong>, touchant environ 85 % des patients. Elle d\u00e9bute par l&#8217;accumulation de d\u00e9p\u00f4ts jaunes, appel\u00e9s <strong>drusen<\/strong>, sous la r\u00e9tine. Avec le temps, ces d\u00e9p\u00f4ts peuvent endommager les cellules r\u00e9tiniennes responsables du traitement de la lumi\u00e8re, entra\u00eenant une perte progressive de la vision.   <sup data-fn=\"5e25a6f3-c8eb-4d14-b63d-7fe1418cc63c\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"5e25a6f3-c8eb-4d14-b63d-7fe1418cc63c-link\" href=\"#5e25a6f3-c8eb-4d14-b63d-7fe1418cc63c\">11<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>La DMLA humide, bien que moins fr\u00e9quente, est plus grave<\/strong>. Elle entra\u00eene une perte de vision due \u00e0 la croissance de vaisseaux sanguins anormaux dans la r\u00e9tine. Ces vaisseaux sanguins sont tr\u00e8s fragiles et peuvent laisser \u00e9chapper du sang et des prot\u00e9ines sous la macula lorsqu&#8217;ils se rompent. Les fuites, les saignements et les cicatrices qui en r\u00e9sultent peuvent endommager les photor\u00e9cepteurs et potentiellement entra\u00eener une perte de vision beaucoup plus rapide, qui peut devenir grave en l&#8217;absence de traitement.<sup>3<\/sup>   <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Voici \u00e0 quoi ressemble la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire : <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eu.intelligentlabs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/can-omega-3-fish-oil-treat-macular-degeneration-01.jpg\" alt=\"d&#xE9;g&#xE9;n&#xE9;rescence maculaire humide ou s&#xE8;che\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Existe-t-il d\u2019autres suppl\u00e9ments et nutriments qui peuvent aider \u00e0 lutter contre la DMLA ?<\/h2>\n\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9tude AREDS (Age-Related Eye Disease Study) et l&#8217;\u00e9tude AREDS 2 ont \u00e9galement identifi\u00e9 d&#8217;autres antioxydants et min\u00e9raux qui peuvent emp\u00eacher le d\u00e9veloppement de la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire \u00e0 des niveaux avanc\u00e9s.. <sup>6 <\/sup><sup data-fn=\"6796b06c-abe6-43e8-8880-7664ab2c7bad\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"6796b06c-abe6-43e8-8880-7664ab2c7bad-link\" href=\"#6796b06c-abe6-43e8-8880-7664ab2c7bad\">12<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tude AREDS a identifi\u00e9 que les vitamines et min\u00e9raux suivants (et les dosages) peuvent r\u00e9duire le risque de DMLA avanc\u00e9e et de perte de vision. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>500 mg de vitamine C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>400 IUs of vitamin E<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 mg of lutein<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 mg of zeaxanthin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80 mg of zinc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 mg of copper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>En plus des om\u00e9ga-3, ils m\u00e9ritent certainement d\u2019\u00eatre ajout\u00e9s \u00e0 tout r\u00e9gime de suppl\u00e9ments pour les personnes souffrant de DMLA.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quels changements de r\u00e9gime alimentaire et de mode de vie peuvent pr\u00e9venir la DMLA ?<\/h2>\n\n<p>L&#8217;alimentation joue un r\u00f4le important dans la prise en charge de la <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Macular_degeneration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">DMLA<\/a>. Une consommation abondante de fruits, de l\u00e9gumes et d&#8217;acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 peut prot\u00e9ger la sant\u00e9 oculaire et m\u00eame soulager la s\u00e9cheresse oculaire.<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelligentlabs.org\/omega-3-for-dry-eye-relief\/\"> Les aliments transform\u00e9s,<\/a><\/strong> les sucres raffin\u00e9s et les mauvaises graisses doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9duits au minimum, car des \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent qu&#8217;ils pourraient contribuer \u00e0 la progression de la DMLA.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Arr\u00eater de fumer est essentiel, car le tabagisme est fortement li\u00e9 \u00e0 la DMLA. Une activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re contribue non seulement \u00e0 maintenir un poids sant\u00e9, mais am\u00e9liore \u00e9galement la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire, ce qui favorise la circulation sanguine vers les yeux. Ensemble, ces changements de mode de vie peuvent r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement le risque de DMLA et sa progression.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n<p>Bien qu&#8217;il n&#8217;existe pas de rem\u00e8de contre la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire, les om\u00e9ga-3 se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9s prometteurs pour ralentir sa progression. De fortes doses peuvent m\u00eame restaurer la vision dans certains cas de DMLA s\u00e8che. Associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une alimentation riche en nutriments, l&#8217;huile de poisson riche en om\u00e9ga-3 offre un espoir de prise en charge de la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence maculaire s\u00e8che et humide.
