Desde 2004, <strong>la FDA aprueba el aceite de pescado como tratamiento <\/strong>para los niveles altos de triglic\u00e9ridos. En personas con niveles muy elevados (es decir, m\u00e1s de 500mg\/dl), tomar 4g de aceite de pescado al d\u00eda puede reducir esta cifra en un 45% y el LDL (es decir, el colesterol malo), en m\u00e1s de un 50% <sup data-fn=\"77ffcdff-d55c-4602-bd22-b92397114fbf\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#77ffcdff-d55c-4602-bd22-b92397114fbf\" id=\"77ffcdff-d55c-4602-bd22-b92397114fbf-link\">1<\/a><\/sup><sup> <\/sup><sup data-fn=\"afec3885-f383-412f-bd90-3f4e4984608a\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#afec3885-f383-412f-bd90-3f4e4984608a\" id=\"afec3885-f383-412f-bd90-3f4e4984608a-link\">2<\/a><\/sup>. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Curiosamente, en los experimentos no pareci\u00f3 importar si se reduc\u00eda el n\u00famero de calor\u00edas, se manten\u00eda al mismo nivel o incluso se aumentaba:&nbsp;<strong>\u00a1el mero hecho de a\u00f1adir aceite de pescado a la dieta provoc\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n de la grasa y el peso corporales!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eso-fue-en-los-animales-pero-y-en-humanos\">Eso fue en los animales, pero, \u00bfy en humanos?<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright por el aceite de pescado pod\u00eda replicarse en humanos.\n\nLos estudios analizaron&nbsp;<strong>los efectos de los complementos de aceite de pescado&nbsp;<\/strong>en diferentes situaciones, incluidas:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No cambiar el estilo de vida de los participantes, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de a\u00f1adir los complementos de aceite de pescado.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00f1adir aceite de pescado m\u00e1s un programa de ejercicios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00f1adir aceite de pescado y reducir la ingesta de calor\u00edas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A\u00f1adir aceite de pescado con un programa de ejercicios y reducir las calor\u00edas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diversos estudios han demostrado que<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eu.intelligentlabs.org\/es-es\/complementos-de-omega-3-la-guia-definitiva\/\"> los suplementos de aceite de pescado<\/a><\/strong> por s\u00ed solos, sin ning\u00fan otro cambio en la dieta, el estilo de vida o la pr\u00e1ctica de ejercicio,&nbsp;<strong>aumenta la quema de grasa y disminuye el porcentaje de grasa corporal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-primer-estudio-sobre-el-aceite-de-pescado-y-la-perdida-de-peso-hombres-jovenes\">Primer estudio sobre el aceite de pescado y la p\u00e9rdida de peso: hombres j\u00f3venes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El primer estudio se centr\u00f3 en&nbsp;<strong>hombres j\u00f3venes y sanos que tomaron 6 gramos de aceite de pescado al d\u00eda&nbsp;<\/strong>(aunque eran 6 gramos de aceite de pescado, en realidad solo conten\u00edan 1100mg de EPA y 700mg de DHA)<sup data-fn=\"8c3ac538-53b3-4d28-bccb-2f22dbd0e925\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#8c3ac538-53b3-4d28-bccb-2f22dbd0e925\" id=\"8c3ac538-53b3-4d28-bccb-2f22dbd0e925-link\">13<\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otro art\u00edculo basado en el mismo estudio descubri\u00f3 que tomar complementos de aceite de pescado tambi\u00e9n reduc\u00eda los niveles de insulina y aumentaba la quema de grasa despu\u00e9s de tomar comidas ricas en carbohidratos<sup data-fn=\"f092f59a-7078-4601-8b6b-e664009ea480\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#f092f59a-7078-4601-8b6b-e664009ea480\" id=\"f092f59a-7078-4601-8b6b-e664009ea480-link\">14<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-segundo-estudio-nbsp-sobre-el-aceite-de-pescado-y-la-perdida-de-peso-mujeres-con-diabetes-de-tipo-2\">Segundo estudio&nbsp;sobre el aceite de pescado y la p\u00e9rdida de peso: mujeres con diabetes de tipo 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> El segundo estudio se centr\u00f3 en&nbsp;<strong>mujeres con diabetes de tipo 2 que tomaron 3 gramos de aceite de pescado al d\u00eda<\/strong> (1080 mg de EPA y 720 mg de DHA) durante dos meses. Tambi\u00e9n observaron un aumento en la quema de grasa: las mujeres perdieron una media de 1,6 kg en todo el periodo de dos meses. P\u00e9rdida de grasa y aumento de m\u00fasculo: \u00a1no hay nada mejor ni m\u00e1s sano! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aceite-de-pescado-ejercicio-y-dieta-tradicional\">Aceite de pescado, ejercicio y dieta tradicional<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, aunque estos tres estudios han demostrado que el aceite de pescado por s\u00ed solo puede provocar una p\u00e9rdida de grasa, siempre recomendamos que los complementos sean parte de una soluci\u00f3n global para mejorar la salud, incluidos cambios en el estilo de vida y en la dieta, lo cual siempre conllevar\u00e1 los mejores resultados posibles. Por ejemplo, un estudio descubri\u00f3 que tomar complementos de aceite de pescado con 2400 mg de EPA y 1600 mg de DHA durante tres semanas aumentaba considerablemente la capacidad del cuerpo para usar y quemar grasa en forma de energ\u00eda cuando funciona con un VO\u2082 m\u00e1ximo del 60%. Eso significa que los complementos de aceite de pescado omega 3 pueden conseguir que la gente queme grasa de forma m\u00e1s eficaz cuando practica ejercicio<sup data-fn=\"d7ab3d14-aa46-4273-8027-d255561302e7\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#d7ab3d14-aa46-4273-8027-d255561302e7\" id=\"d7ab3d14-aa46-4273-8027-d255561302e7-link\">17<\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otro estudio en hombres y mujeres obesos que tomaron complementos de 6 gramos de aceite de pescado al d\u00eda (360mg de EPA y 1560mg de DHA) durante 12 semanas con ejercicio ligero (ejercicios aer\u00f3bicos con una frecuencia card\u00edaca de m\u00e1ximo el 75%) descubri\u00f3 que la combinaci\u00f3n de aceite de pescado y ejercicio provoc\u00f3 una considerable p\u00e9rdida de grasa corporal (2 kg), as\u00ed como mejoras en los factores de riesgo de enfermedades card\u00edacas y una reducci\u00f3n en los triglic\u00e9ridos, adem\u00e1s de en el HDL, en comparaci\u00f3n con solo practicar ejercicio<sup data-fn=\"e292c78f-6913-4a4e-a881-76f46aef86e1\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#e292c78f-6913-4a4e-a881-76f46aef86e1\" id=\"e292c78f-6913-4a4e-a881-76f46aef86e1-link\">18<\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otro estudio en 324 hombres y mujeres con edades comprendidas entre los 20 y los 40 a\u00f1os, observ\u00f3 que, al reducir la ingesta de calor\u00edas en un 30%, una media de 600 calor\u00edas al d\u00eda, quienes tomaban complementos de aceite de pescado perdieron de media 1 kg m\u00e1s en un periodo de cuatro semanas que quienes solo redujeron el consumo de calor\u00edas<sup data-fn=\"29b2f5fe-ad27-47e9-8860-507721b74be8\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#29b2f5fe-ad27-47e9-8860-507721b74be8\" id=\"29b2f5fe-ad27-47e9-8860-507721b74be8-link\">19<\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un estudio realizado en mujeres gravemente obesas tambi\u00e9n descubri\u00f3 que&nbsp;<strong>el ejercicio y el aceite de pescado provocaron una p\u00e9rdida de 1,5 kg m\u00e1s<\/strong> en las personas que tomaban complementos de aceite de pescado que en quienes no lo hac\u00edan. Los investigadores tambi\u00e9n observaron mayores niveles de beta-hidroxibutirato en sangre en el grupo que tom\u00f3 complementos de aceite de pescado. Durante mucho tiempo, se crey\u00f3 que los genes no pod\u00edan cambiar y, aunque nuestro c\u00f3digo gen\u00e9tico en s\u00ed no se modifica, ahora sabemos que s\u00ed puede cambiar (y cambia) la forma en que los genes se expresan. En otras palabras, nuestras c\u00e9lulas pueden encender o apagar ciertos genes dependiendo del entorno al que se expongan<sup data-fn=\"dae4e692-956a-4fa3-9a8e-ee6b5bbdaf91\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#dae4e692-956a-4fa3-9a8e-ee6b5bbdaf91\" id=\"dae4e692-956a-4fa3-9a8e-ee6b5bbdaf91-link\">21<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> La nueva rama cient\u00edfica que estudia esto se conoce como epigen\u00e9tica y aportar\u00e1 incre\u00edbles avances a nuestro conocimiento del cuerpo y a c\u00f3mo pensemos en nuestra salud en el futuro. Regulando y suprimiendo la respuesta de los genes, los \u00e1cidos grasos omega 3 act\u00faan como divisores de la energ\u00eda, b\u00e1sicamente&nbsp;<strong>modificando las acciones de las enzimas para crear menos grasa,&nbsp;<\/strong>as\u00ed como para quemar m\u00e1s grasa. Dirigen la glucosa hacia el almacenamiento del gluc\u00f3geno (por lo que se convierte en una fuente de energ\u00eda f\u00e1cilmente disponible). Adem\u00e1s, impiden que los \u00e1cidos grasos se conviertan en triglic\u00e9ridos y los dirigen a la oxidaci\u00f3n. En otras palabras, consiguen que quememos grasa de forma m\u00e1s eficaz.
